TENMA ROASTERS: Sanwa Coffee Works

The Tenma/Tenroku area is famous for its nightlife. With a plethora of reasonable and delicious hole-in-the-wall bar/tapas restaurants, you can easily fill your belly without emptying your wallet.

But what if you just want a good cup of joe? 

That's where Sanwa Coffee Works comes to the rescue!

At Sanwa Coffee works, you can grab a take-out coffee or espresso, or buy your own coffee making tools and freshly roasted/ground beans for your home or office.

There is a shelf near the entrance covered with many varieties of coffees sizes by the gram.  There are also single-serving pour-over packs for about a $1-$5 a package, which I am very tempted to buy one of each and try at home.

 Ready-made iced coffee is available in bottle form; a great gift idea for over-worked friends.

 From French presses to espresso machines, Delongi coffee makers to pour-over kettles, elegant Chemex carafes to vintage coffee bean grinders...

Started in 1959, Sanwa Coffee Makers has got history and experience in roasting beans for the perfect cup of coffee.

And they have a Victoria Arduino Athena espresso machine to make the perfect cappuccino.

I bought 500g of coffee a few weeks ago and am almost down to the last few scoops. I'm not much of a coffee connoisseur yet, but the staff at Sanwa Coffee Works are very helpful and will be a good resource as I take the plunge into coffee mania.
