KYOTO COFFEE: Drip & Drop Coffee Supply

Wandering Kyoto's Nakagyo Ward in desperate search of sustenance, the neon white glow exclaiming "DRIP & DROP COFFEE SUPPLY" caught my eye.
We followed the stairs down into the basement, discovering a coffee lover's paradise.
In trend with the DIY coffee boom, Drip & Drop Coffee Supply has all the supplies you need to get started with your own home brewing set up.
Drip & Drop's speciality drink is the 'Fruits Iced Coffee,' which the barista is preparing in the picture above. This drink features a surprising combination of fruit ice cubes, mint ice cubes, and fresh fruit all topped off with iced coffee.
Sounds like a great drink for those terribly hot Kyoto summer days.
We got iced coffee and a cafe latte, but Drip & Drop offers a wonderful selection of hot coffee with specialized service when you order your cup of joe. You can choose from their selection of four ypes of beans, including the daily speciality single-origin beans. Not only do you get to choose the beans, but also the brew method: french press, pour-over, or aero-press. So many options, so little time.
When you can't decide what to eat for lunch, why not let the coffee decide for you? Lunch set combos help quell your caffeine need, and empty stomach, especially when you're all irritated from not finding a restaurant when you are SURE there MUST be a good restaurant nearby and can't find one. We got the croque monsieur and hot dog lunch sets.
The cookies and baked goods also looked supreme... Another time!
