Secret Garden: KISSAMASTER KYOTO

At the back of the MSPC bag shop in Karasuma Kyoto, this coffee shop is a tiny gem that you could easily walk past without noticing.

This shop uses the Hario V-60 brewer and La Marzocco espresso machine, and the barista was also very friendly and enthusiastically answered all my coffee questions while making our beverages.
Kissamaster Kyoto features specialty roasted beans by 'WEEKENDERS COFFEE,' another famous Kyoto coffee shop which I will feature when I develop that roll of film soon! We tried the cappucino which was as always, on point, and a hot coffee featuring the single origin beans of the day: Ethiopian Yigarcheffe medium-light roast. The coffee was fruity with hints of blueberry and apple.
And not only is the coffee excellent, but the shop has counter seating looking out to their beautifully manicured Japanese garden. As the seasons change, the maple tree in the corner turns red, the camellias bloom and fall, the moss changes in vibrancy from deep green to khaki.
Ah, Kyoto! Your beauty always inspires me.
