お盆休み4: Cape Muroto

When we arrived at Cape Muroto, the sun had finally broken through the dark rain clouds.

A head-shaped rock yawned, the sun brightly illuminating the sky.

The rocks had been forced out from the depths of the ocean in a violent surge of techtonic plates.

"It looks like a dolphin, doesn't it?" he said.
Scrambling up these rocks reminded me of childhood camping trips in Kaupo.
Trimphant to have reached the top, we gazed west to the horizon, searching for the sun amongst the storm-cloud ridden sky.
